Unlock the Island 3 grill

The grill owner asks for a shark. Buy the Standard Boss Lure for $280, catch the Blue Shark mini-boss, defeat it, and deliver the catch. Once the hand-in completes, the grill becomes available for normal use.

This is optional for immediate story progression but important for the economy, healing preparation, and several achievements. Unlock it before the Island 4 money grind if you plan to complete most side content.

How to hit the 1.5x value

Hold a catch over the flame and press F to inspect it. The displayed Value and Cooking multiplier update as the item heats. Remove it when the multiplier reaches 1.5x.

If the model turns solid black, the item is burned: sale value falls to zero and food quality becomes poor. Burn one mini-boss deliberately for the paired eating achievements, but never use valuable farm catches for that experiment.

Clean accidentally cooked gear after Patch 1.0.10

Patch 1.0.10 adds an official recovery method for weapons and tools: dip the cooked item in water to clean it. Test in shallow, accessible water so the equipment cannot drift away or become difficult to retrieve.

Cleaning is for equipment state, not a way to reverse a sold or destroyed catch. Keep valuable upgraded gear away from the grill unless you are deliberately testing the mechanic.

Island 3 starter loop

Standard Lure catches give enough income to pay for Uzi and inventory upgrades. Prioritize endangered fish for the tourist quest, then cook remaining catches at the grill before selling them.

Avoid using the Standard Boss Lure purely for money unless you can defeat Blue Shark quickly. A failed mini-boss costs more time than several safe regular catches.

Island 4 professional loop

Buy the $50 Professional Lure and target regular Island 4 fish. Their base prices are high enough that the 1.5x multiplier compounds quickly. Cook in batches, check every item with F, and sell before purchasing the $1,200 Professional Boss Lure.

Tuna is worth substantially more but requires a boss lure and a fight. Use it for progression or a planned high-value sale, not as the default repeatable loop.

Island 5 lava and casino route

Island 5 catches have the highest regular base values. Lava cooking applies the 1.5x result and removes the timing step, making it efficient for both selling and preparing heals. Keep a safe pickup route so items are not lost in active lava hazards.

For the casino achievements, community math targets a cooked item worth roughly $100,000 divided by the 35x green payout. Only wager an item that clears the required threshold; repeated small green bets waste catches without producing the necessary sale value.

• Carry profit separately from the healing food needed for the final boss.
